THE VIRTUAL PEN-DRIVE by Shuai Ma, Shuai Yang, JunYu Zhang & Fang Xu

THE VIRTUAL PEN-DRIVE!

If you think about it, the QR Code Smart Seal is really a solution to all your data sharing problems. This product allows you to convert data into a single image and physically share it with people. Imagine not needing a pen-drive anymore because you take your data, generate a QR code out of it and stamp the code on a piece of paper. That paper is now your pen drive. Scan the code, access the data.
The seal works with an app that generates the code. The seal then receives the code and creates the stamp accordingly. You can then use the seal to stamp out the code an infinite number of times (essentially creating an infinite number of pen-drives). Codes last forever, so that means your data’s always accessible. Perfect for sending out photos, web links, resumes, or even greeting cards. Amazing, isn’t it?!

Touchable gloves design

 Touchable gloves design

If there was one thing that impressed me about Nokia’s phones, it was the ability for the touchscreen to sense your fingertips through gloves. Sadly that highly underrated and necessary feature died with the brand. However, regardless of how un-smart your smartphone’s screen is, your gloves can compensate for that, allowing you to use your phone even in the harshest weather (when you could probably need it the most!). The Double Layered Touchscreen Gloves by Mujjo are intelligent in their own right by being capacitive-sensitive, allowing you work your smartphones with incredible dexterity while keeping those ten little fingers toasty warm.

The Mujjo Touchscreen Gloves are in-fact crafted especially to allow you to use your phone with ease. They say that you spend close to 20% of your day holding your phone, and cold weather shouldn’t stop you. The gloves come with a magnetic snap enclosure that allow a stronger bond between your palm and the phone, preventing it from accidentally slipping out of your hands (in case they begin going numb)… There’s even silicon dot pattern on the outside increases friction so that moisture or snow doesn’t become a problem.

Even with its incredible touchscreen-friendly abilities, the Mujjo are a hell of a pair of gloves. They come with an extra woolen layer for added insulation and even a leather cuff-strap to tightly secure them around your wrist. The fabric is engineered in a way that allows one size to fit all hands, and even stand the test of time, with its durable anti-pilling properties. So go ahead! Don’t stop yourself from tweeting about your insane snow-boarding experience… or clicking a selfie with the snowman you just built!

two great bike design

Take a look at the Flex Bike’s frame and tell me what looks unusual. Spotted it? You’ll notice that it’s split at quite a few spaces. Not just that, the split parts aren’t aligned effectively. Well, my dear friend, that’s all for a higher purpose. The Flex Bike’s frame has this rather unique design because the frame IS the suspension! Yes, the frame has a segmented, flexible design (it takes inspiration from the Millipede’s exoskeleton) that bends and absorbs shock at multiple points, giving you the velvety smooth ride you would get from sitting in a posh car! Even the bike seat has a pivot and a spring, allowing it to give you the most comfortable seating experience over long rides. Impressive, don’t you think?

The Vispa eBike combines a bit of nostalgic appeal with modern e-drive tech, breathing new life into the Piaggio brand. The little, green, baby brother to the Vespa, the Vispa pays homage to the original style with retro details and lighting as well as swept side cover fairings. For all its classic flavor, it seamlessly integrates a few distinct modern twists.

The frame and seat come together in a unique arc that extends back and above the rear tire. From here, the seat is both stabilized and made flexible to adjust the seat with just the push of a button located near the handlebars.

The e-drive system allows users to enjoy short range fully-powered trips or extended rides with pedal assist. With the power system neatly tucked under the arc and seat, it’s able to maintain a true retro aesthetic almost indistinguishable from vintage cruisers.

product design-two nice converible table design

converible table dy Damien Regamey
With as many opportunities to work from home now a days, there are so many pros, and very few cons that come along with that. However, the biggest con is space. It’s hard to find a home or apartment that offers enough room to live and work.

The Celerina Table, designed by Damien Regamey for Reinhard AG Sachseln, was designed just for that. At first glance, you see a beautifully designed, solid oak dining table with beautiful details that is mounted on either still or wood tilted legs ? perfect for entertaining or a nice meal at home. What’s hidden underneath is the gem of the table.

Once you release the leather security strap, the hydraulic system opens the top of the table, transforming it into a beautiful, modern office desk with storage, optional magnetic boards and a cable management system. A perfect solution to keep your workspace hidden and out of the way, once you finish work for the day.

Celerina Table also won an A’Design Award for 2016. What a perfect addition to any modern home.

great earphones design- Designer: Noon Wong

Up until the mid 90s, we had the Radio. The Radio Personality was our music curator, providing us with an incredible blend of tunes to get through the day. This was of course followed by the rise of MTV and the VJ. The Video Jockey presented us with the freshest beats, but in a different form, with the music video. We now live in the era of the DJ. We go to festivals and events to listen to deejays play our favorite tunes, and make us listen to new ones, but there’s a problem right there. The Deejay experience is rather exclusive. We don’t get access to the Deejay everyday, unlike the RP or VJ. That’s where ONE by Actywell fills the gap. ONE may just look like an ordinary earphone, but it’s actually an AI-DJ that uses your Bio-stats and a motion sensor to determine what your energy levels are, and recommend the correct playlist to either charge you up, or mellow you down.

The ONE’s probably one of the most awesome earphones you’ll see. It runs its artificial intelligence without a battery, so you don’t need to worry about charging it. Its complex algorithms measure how you react to music, and use that information to pick out new songs for you. It works with your music player and even Spotify, so it knows your music preference. When it comes to playback, the ONE doesn’t compromise… It’s one of the first of the new range of audio devices to run on a lightning connector (especially for the iPhone 7 crowd) and even comes with MicroUSB and Type C USB variants for the Android aficionados.

The ONE’s design is impressive too, with its Play Button shaped triangular design and white/gold and Chrome/Black combos. The German Design Award winning earphones even come with a leather fascia that slips over the earpiece to give you that extra bit of luxury… because with the best in music selection, your ears also deserve the best in design!
